A brief update on QGO and related VR projects

Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for being more and more numerous every day to use and trust QGO to get the best out of your Meta Quest. We are now close to 150,000 users ! 🙂

Thank you for your continued support and for being so active across the QGO communities. It is genuinely a pleasure to interact with you on Discord, Reddit, Facebook groups, and by email.

The QGO team works hard to provide new optimization profiles for your favorite games on a daily basis. We are approaching 1,700 tested games—played from start to finish, thoroughly tested, sometimes over several days—and optimized by us to ensure the best possible experience. If you ever come across outdated profiles or ones that no longer work optimally, please let us know so we can update them. Games evolve constantly and regularly require adjustments.

On your side, nearly 500,000 custom profiles have been created, which clearly demonstrates your creativity, engagement, and enthusiasm for QGO and its possibilities.

In addition, thanks to QGO’s advanced video capture capabilities, many studios and content creators use QGO to record videos in up to 4K or even produce game trailers. Players also enjoy capturing their passthrough and gameplay sessions in 3D side by side for a deeper and more immersive viewing experience.

QGO has truly become a Swiss Army knife. I also know that many of you have probably discovered only a fraction of its features so far—such as hiding applications, multi-app selection, installing apps across multiple Meta accounts, locking apps with a password, pinning apps, backing up and restoring apps and data, DNS filtering, Wide Motion Mode for improved hand and arm tracking, RAM booster, app folders, UI customization (colors and wallpapers), filtering by storage size or installation date, time played, exploring the Quest Store database, automatically opening Windows Explorer when connecting the headset to a PC, and many more.

Alongside QGO, over the past few months I have taken the time to develop three small applications. They are simple, practical, and designed for everyday use. All of them were born from real user needs and aim to solve specific and concrete problems.

PlayTimeVR
A tool that allows you to accurately track your VR playtime and display it in a clear way—by application, by day, by week, by month, by time played. This is essentially the realization of the “Quest Time Optimizer” project that I presented to the community about three years ago (for those who have been following me for a long time), and which has never materialized. 👉 https://anagan79.itch.io/playtime-vr

Battery Level Notifier
A tool that notifies you when your headset battery reaches a specific level, or when your device is connected to or disconnected from a power source such as an external battery. You can create multiple alerts and enable sound notifications for added convenience. 👉 https://www.meta.com/experiences/battery-level-notifier/24921242274173000/

Quest APK Installer
A simple and efficient tool to install APK and XAPK (+OBB) files on your Quest headset without unnecessary complexity. 👉 https://anagan79.itch.io/quest-apk-installer

I wanted to share these projects with you, as this community is at the origin of much of what I build today.

If you are an independent developer or a studio looking for a technical and performance audit of your immersive experience, feel free to get in touch 🤝

I have been involved in nearly twenty projects this year, including Syberia, ACE VR, Wanderer Fragments of Fate, VRacer Hoverbike, Of Lies And Rain, Quantum Void, Taebo Reboot, Wordlens, Plasmaborne, Punch Bomb, Salmon Man, Virtual Fight Championship, Connectome, and more.

Thank you again for your support since the early days of QGO, have fun with it, and see you soon on the networks. A new version is coming soon 🙂
