Hi,

Can someone assist please? I have emailed itch.io support several times but had no response. I have set up quest games optimizer and all looks good in my headset until trying to login to the QGO app. When entering my email I purchased it with, it never accepts my details? I have tried the three possible addresses I could use, even though I know exactly the one I purchased with as I have checked it. But it never accepts the details.

Any help will be appreciated,

Thanks,

Hi, you know you can contact me directly via my email ? ;-)

However, I found your purchase and there is a problem so yes you in that case, contacting Itch.io support is mandatory on your case.

As you can see in this picture, when you see the red arrow, there should be an email. Here is your username. There was a bug on Itch.io platform side. So, QGO can check your purchase with any of your emails because the purchase has been registered with an account name and not an email.

You can send them this email with this picture.

Anyway, send me the email you want to use with QGO by email at questgamesoptimizer@gmail.com and I will create your QGO account, so that you will be able to use QGO even if your purchase is weird.

Also, you are in the wrong place, here is the XR Native Android Settings page, not the QGO one ;-)

Hi, it's because of the Meta light theme color. On dark one, all is fine. Unfortunately, I can't change that. My app is just a wrapper that starts this system settings app. I can't modify this system app...

This is so dark on my quest, it's almost black and not readable

it's not working on quest 1. is there any chance to get it working?

here's the error

adb: failed to install XRNativeAndroidSettings_v1.0.0.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK: Failed parse during installPackageLI: /data/app/vmdl781631623.tmp/base.apk (at Binary XML file line #7): Requires newer sdk version #32 (current version is #29)]

I don't have the Quest 1 so can't confirm. But it works for sure on Q2, QPro and Q3.

What method did you use to install ?

Did you try to install it directly from the Quest ?

adb install.

You just need to compile it with sdk29, your file explorer also has the same issue, I haven't tried the rest of your apps yet.

Yep, you were right, I built both XR File Manager and Settings with min SDK 32.

QuestGamesOptimizer target min SDK 29. I didn't check that for the 2 new apps

You should retry now ;-)

Thanks for the feedback and keep me informed :-)

They now both install fine!!

No issues with XR settings, except the fact that the quest is missing some settings, but it's not the apps problem since your app is just the launcher.

Same can be said for the file manager, it starts on portrait and doesn't like to be resized, ends up in a blank or white screen. I'm guessing that's an older Android file manager limitation.

I haven't tried the optimiser, but if you send me a time limit licence or similar, I'd be happy to try it and report back to you.

Cheers

Super !

On Q2/3/Pro the apps opens in large mode and yes my apps are just wrapper of the official Android apps.

I suggest you to play with QGO but with at least a Q2
