Everything was working fine. Quest 3 did a update last night.  Now when I open QGO the flash screen comes up then just the passthrough view. I need to hit the meta button to quiet QGO then it will show me the apps.  I've uninstalled several times and still the same issue.  It works when I open games but annoying when trying to go into the app. and if im in the app it with give me the passthrough if i click on lets say the lighting bolt per say. 

Hi, I din't understand everyting, but I guess you just have the bug of the v62/63/64 and must use the meta button to make the promot then QGO appears. Meta fixed that on v65 PTC. So you must use the button until you get the v65.

And you must accept the prompt only once per device reboot.

For the moment, nobody reported me problems on v65 and I don't have problems myself on my 3 devices.

When you says : ADB is yellow, you mean, you see the bolt icon ? If you see the bolt icon this means you see ADB green icon, this means all is fine.

But if you see ADB red and the red banner, this means ADB is disabled. A fix is to enable ADB wifi via sidequest like when installing QGO.


But in your case, you reinstalled the app and if you don't see the debug prompts, this is because ADB wifi is not set. Yous must click on sidequest to enable ADB wifi like in my video.

Also, check if the dev mode is enable in your mobile app. Some users lost developer mode in v64 because of Meta update.

What do you see on the top left corner of sidequest when your headset is plugged ? Could you show me ? You should try another USB cable and be sure its an OTG cable.


I asked yyou for the developer mode because ome people imagine this is the developers options in the headset and didn't check their smartphone app.

120fps category for quest optimizer (suggestion)

Hello, I would like to recommend if you could add the 120 fps option in some Quest Optimizer games, this option is useful for when you want to lend your headset to an inexperienced person to be able to choose this option and avoid dizziness, or there are also several games that have low quality and it would be nice if we could play it with that speed easily. I don't think it will be very difficult to implement since there are not so many games that allow this, but it would be greatly appreciated and would add value to the application. Hi, I understand what you mean but here is my answer :

- motion sickness is in majority due to virtual locomotion, and virtual world apprehension, not only because of frame rate. Yes a higher frame rate can help in some dynamic games, but dynamic games are not really recommended for beginners. Anyway, today and by default, 90-95% of the games run at 72hz which is still the basis refresh rate even on very popular games. More and more developers tends to implement 90Hz but almost only on Quest 3. But beginners also play on Q2 for example. So if the motion sickness was very impacted by refresh rate, you could imagine that meta would have forbidden 90% of the games.

- each games are different, that is why I can spend hours and days to optimize one game. And even many low quality or low res or low poly games can't handle 120fps because it is too heavy to handle by the Quest 3. So, with a "Enable 120Hz mode for beginner" button, it will not be a magic solution and instead of having smoothness games you will end up with laggy games and that will be a very bad idea and experience for beginners. If a game run at 120Hz but the headset is not capable to render 120 images per seconds, even with boosted CPU and GPU, you will end up with lags.

So, this is a good idea but it's not feasible unfortunately.

i want qgo to be on home and also so i can pin it to the univeral menu i turned on auto detection and the 2 options in there but still cant what should i do? am i missing something?

Hi, QGO can't be in the home pinned in the universal menu. You can't do that with an app that is not from the official store. But since the v62 or v63, QGO icon sometimes appears in this universal menu as a recently launched app. This is nice of Meta doing that :-).

Concerning the QGO shortcut feature. What did you put in the shortcut text field ?

Hello I just recently started having issues where adb no longer has a lightning bolt I have already reinstalled and unistalled and reinstalled again , I even hooked back up to the pc but nothing cant get adb to work  just keeps saying retry, so no profile works this issue only started a few days ago up until then it was amazing any help would be appreciated. Im still on version v63 on the meta quest if that helps :).

Hi,

Did you accepted the 4 debug prompt like in my video by clicking ALWAYS ALLOW ON THIS NETWORK/COMPUTER. You must not click on the simple ALLOW button.

If yes and if you only lost ADB, you should plug your Quest to the PC and enable ADB Wifi via sidequest again, this should do the trick ;-) It is explained in the red banner you should get.

Since buying and downloading QGO on my quest 3 it has seemingly tampered with my height and controller calibration settings so there is a extreme offset between my head and floor in games and the controllers and where the game thinks the controllers are. I think it might be because of the V64 update but idk and i cant play games because of it. I've tried launching the games (Vail Vr and Ghost of Tabor) from default settings and then in the regular meta menu and the QGO menu but it still messes with it. I even tried to run GOT in pcvr and it was still an issue, however it doesn't seem to be an issue with using applications like Virtual Desktop and just being in passthrough mode.

Hi, QGO can't alter height nor controller calibration, it only change the refresh rate, cpu level, gpu level, ffr level , etc..., and all the modification QGO do are reset to default when shuting down/rebooting the device. So you risk nothing 😉

Nobody reported this issue since QGO was born and don't have the problem myself on my 3 headsets.

Anyway did you try to reboot the Quest ? Did you try to redo your guardian virtual boundary, did you try to clean your guardian virtual boundary and redo your guardian ? Did you try to reboot your controllers ? Are you playing in a dark room ?

All these things could help.

And yes this v64 have some problem but I don't have this one.


EDIT : you can also try to disable Lying down feature

try it with lying down mode is off some users reported having issues with hights on v64 at least till meta fix it dont think qgo is cuasing it

Hi, this is not necessary because the game already have built in settings for resolution and frequency

Is there a way to rename a video file or any file using the extension "Native File Manager"? Could the renaming feature be added to the manager? So far I have not found a way to rename files stored or downloaded directly to the quest 3 from the internet.

But this file manager is not mine, it is the Android system file manager ;-)


Thanks a lot. Not sure why I haven't see the rename options before. I found them now. Perhaps the renaming doesn't show for all the folders. Gotta check that again. In download folder it works.

Just discovered QGO.  LOVE it.  Atlantis in WMG is even MORE spectacular and there are so many games I want to revisit now.

On to the issue:  I just received the V63 update yesterday, and since that time, once QGO has been launched (and after approving wireless ADB), my quest will no longer recognize that I have removed the headset.  Front/power lights stay white.  I am running v9.5.1.  I got the notification for the 9.5.1 drop seconds after I managed to successfully install 9.5.0 (great timing, huh?)

I have verified that after a reboot, the headset behaves as it always has (screen turns off/on with doffing/donning), and once I launch/approve QGO the headset remains fully powered/active/screen on.  If I press the power button to force screen off, external LEDs remain white.

I should also note that the first time I launched QGO (apologies, but I once ran a bookstore that sold a bunch of card battle games and my brain will apparently forever after read that abbreviation at "Que-Ghee-Oh"... so sorry.....) after the firmware upgrade It did toast me with a notification that I was now on v63, but non of my "time in game" stats got reset.

I guess you chose to disable the proximity sensor in QGO (top bar), you should try to enable the proximity sensor again ;-)

Oh!  Dangit, I was looking all over for that in the settings, instead of right in front of my face.  D'uh!  I remember clicking it now when I was 'poking' around.  In case you didn't see the edit I made to my original post (because you were replying to it...<grin>), QGO did notify me of the new firmware version on it's first post-upgrade launch, but none of my 'time in game' stats got reset.  Not complaining, just pointing out a difference from what was expected based on something I thought I read in the doc.

Any way we could get a color change for those as an indicator of which way they're set?

I mentioned that it could be possible that playing time could be reset after a Meta update. It was the case in the past but I updated the way I retrieve the playing time to avoid as possible that to reproduce. So, this is a good thing to read this feedback :-)

Can the icon be changed based on the state of the setting.  Like the ADB indicator.  If the option is on it can be green, off can be red (or maybe just a different image with a slash or X through it for the 'off' state).

Nope, as I can't know if you disabled proximity sensor or guardian via the meta quest developer hub or via the Quest settings or via side quest or any ADB commands. So the result could be a wrong value. Turned ON in QGO (QGO remember it is green), but you then disable the setting via the meta quest developer hub, but QGO will still display the green value ;-)

I did that in the past but too many people reported me the value was wrong and the reason was the changed the state from another way and QGO  wasn't informed of this new state ;-)

Is it possible to remove apps/hide them from the list?

Nope, the app you see are the installed apps ;-) But you could put some of your apps into folder and display the folder view to "simulate" hidden apps

You can download the apk and install it via sidequest or the developper hub for example, or use the windows zip file that also contains the apk. How can I help you ?

So this app worked for a while.  Then it kept having to be uninstalled and re installed to get it to work.  Then it just stopped working.  The ADB shows red no matter what i do.  I have done every step that was suggested many times.  spent hours trying to get it to work.

There seems to be a bug where the floor height changes when installing or updating the qgo program.

Hmmm, I didn't notice that, on my 3 headsets. QGO don't apply anything related to the floor level. It could enable or disable the guardian limits, but only if you click on the dedicated buttons

I reasontly try my Q3 and there is a strang thing. Sometimes the cpu freq can reach 2.36GHz. But most of the time it'll drop down to 2.05 even if I set cpu to Very High mode. Is it normal or there is sth wrong? If the cpu Freq can run stably at 2.36Ghz rather than just 2.05GHz, I'll increase more than 10% of performance.

When I using QGO, I'll see the Cpu Freq reach 2.32GHz. But most of the time when I open another app I'll back to 2.05GHz. @@

Hello, the CPU doesn't work like the GPU. GPUs have a stable frequency depending on their level. But that's not the case for the CPU. Each level unlocks more aggressive processing possibilities, but not necessarily a higher frequency.

Hope one day META will unlock more perfomance for Q3 like Q2 before thought the cooling system design may not strong enought for it.

Meta has never unlocked any device ;-)

CPU level 5 has exists since the Oculus Go and on Pico Neo 3 Link and Pico 4. Moreover, Pico use this level since a long time now and day one with Pico 4. These performance levels have always existed ;-)

Meta just limited developers to using these levels.

At first, developers could only use level 3. Then Meta created a buzz with the first improvements. This allowed developers to use level 4. And a few months ago, they did the same with level 5. And they again created the buzz, but it was a fake buzz. They didn't unlock anything. They just gave permission to developers to use levels that have always exists, but which Meta didn't want to use for fear of overheating or consumption, or just to create a buzz one day.

QGO has been able to use level 5 all along ;-)

Same thing for level 6 and 7 on Q3. Soooo many games, even new Q3 games still use level 4 and not 5 and so not 6 nor 7. Let's see an upcoming new unlocked power buzz...

Is it possible to optimize a Meta Quest 3 headset from 60hz - 72hz? I love QGO but i've been dying to know if 60 hertz optimization is a Quest 2 exclusive or not. I know its possible to get any amount of hertz on Quest 3 through ADB commands on Sidequest and Meta Developer Hub but I would love to get 60 - 72 hertz without going through the agonizing pain of finding ADB commands through Reddit and Discord. In fact, there originally was a discord server that used to have a ton of custom hertz ADB commands but sadly got taken down / deleted.

I'd like to know if this is just impossible or too much work to incorporate into QGO for Quest 3 users.

Is it possible to add a multi user function to the premium account? I use the QGO and I love it but my son who use the second user on the quest3 can't use the really nice features of the GQO. 

Is it possible to add an additional function in the premium account like add 2 or more user on one VR? Main user must be the user who bought the GQO?

Hello, unfortunately, as described in the FAQ, QGO can't work on secondary account... It only work on Meta Admin/Device owner account.

Secondary account don't have all the privileges the admin account have

I am a VIP QGO user and I would like to know if there is any possibility that you have a streaming section, where there is the possibility of having Netflix in 4K and any other streaming App. 

I have the Quest 3 and I love it for streaming content although it is very rarely used, I would pay anything to be able to watch movies and series in their maximum 4K quality!

Just tell me what I should do to make it possible, greetings from New York and congratulations for the great work you are doing for us!! :D
