If you encounter bugs or a problem, please do the following :
- First check the Known issues and bugs section
- If your issue is related to your QGO email account, verify your QGO email by entering it in this link. It will ensure your email is correct. Many users do a typo in there email.
- Reboot the Meta Quest and see you still have the issue
- The majority of time, this is a bad configuration or a bad installation on your side or because you didn't follow steps by steps and click by click the installation video guide
- Be sure you are on the latest version of QGO and the latest version of the Meta Quest system and not on PTC channel
- Uninstall QGO, restart your Quest and then re-install QGO to see if you still have the issue
- Read the Frequently Asked Questions

Hi is there a way to disable the update process that is runing ob the quest via adb command inside quest game optimize. Like a toggle to don't accidentally update to v74 .
That would be else a cool feature
Yes, some things can be done with ADB to avoid the updates, but then difficult to test as I must wait for update to test if it works and I can't be sure it will not impact the system. You know meta want some services to to be ON
First of all, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for such an amazing app.
I have a suggestion: please add the ability to set a custom profile for any application. This will be useful for custom environments and games that have no profile yet. At the moment, I can't improve the graphics in any of the custom environments I've installed.I understand that it is impossible for your team to test every 3D application and add configuration for it, so let the user do it himself.
Hello, you can create up to 4 different custom personal profiles for each of your Quest games. So if you don't see any official one, you can create up to 4 profiles per games. Just click the 'edit' option.
To edit custom environment, please use or Edit the ".Home & 2D apps" app you can see in the picture.
On v74 there is a bug and you can't apply profile on Home environment anymore. But I'm working on a fix that works. So please be patient if you are on v74 or please stay on v72 is you can. Meta broke many things..
Hey, Really looking forward to jumping in QGO, just got it the other day.
BUG: Your new website under "optimized games." The SEARCH only works for the Quest 3/3s section, the Quest 1/2 SEARCH are not working at the moment. As a Quest 2 user, being able to quickly see what new games are added would be very helpful.

Hello Anagan79, first of all, a very big thank you for your amazing tool and your engagement to provide us the best experience we can get on our Quest devices :-)
I'm using QGO for a while, and exploit a side capability you enabled with QGO.
I get a screen copy of my headsets to my computer using the ADB Wifi debug tool, and the scrcpy tool.
This allows me to get multiple headsets screens at the same time, and send it to OBS studio. I'm part of a French non profit organization that shares it's passion to everyone, and we organize quite often few showrooms with VR animations.
I discovered recently that ADB functionality was modified, and when QGO stars on boot, it enable ADB, but not anymore the capability to interact with the headset using adb connect <ip>:5555.
The answer on adb console is : "cannot connect to x.x.x.x:5555: Aucune connexion n'a pu être établie car l'ordinateur cible l'a expressément refusée. (10061)"
My Q2 and Q3 are in v72, and have the same behavior.
I tested using SideQuest to re-enable WIFI ADB using a USB connection, and it worked, but requires a USB connection to the computer... That's annoying during our events.
Do you think that's a functionality that could be re-enabled, or at least an option that can be checked for advanced users ?

Dans les dernières versions de QGO, j'ai modifié la façon dont ADB fonctionne pour palier aux souci suivant induits par cette ancienne méthode ADB :
Voilà le pourquoi du comment j'ai changé mon fusil d'épaule.
La connexion avec le PC ou le code de pairage pour activer ADB ne se fait qu'à l'installation. Ensuite, QGO réactive tout seul ADB à chaque redémarrage du casque. Ça ne devrait donc pas être un problème. À moins que je n'ai pas entièrement compris votre phrase.

Tout d'abord, merci pour votre réponse rapide et les explications très claires.
Précédemment, le lancement de QGO activait l'exposition de l'ADB en WIFI sur le port 5555, ce qui exposait directement sur le LAN tout casque utilisant QGO à être interrogé et à lancer des commandes ADB depuis un terminal sur le même LAN que le casque.
En effet, je peux comprendre que pour des raisons de sécurité ça ne soit pas optimal, surtout si la nouvelle méthode est plus rapide.
La méthode précédent d'utilisation de l'ADB par QGO me permettait de récupérer le flux vidéo de chaque casque, et exploitant l'outil scrcpy qui capture l'écran du casque et le stream directement sur le PC, sans avoir besoin d'interagir avec le compte du casque, ou avec l'utilisateur. Extrêmement pratique pour nos évènements où nous streamons plusieurs casques sur un seul PC et adaptons les mises en scène avec OBS.
Bref, je comprends mieux pourquoi il n'est plus possible d'utiliser l'ADB over WIFI, la nouvelle méthode n'exposant plus l'ADB comme auparavant. La seule méthode que j'ai trouvé permettant de ré-exposer à nouveau l'ADB en wifi de manière ouverte est d'utiliser SideQuest. Cependant cette activation nécessite à chaque redémarrage du casque une connexion en USB.
Auriez-vous une piste pour déverrouiller cette fonctionnalité d'ADB over wifi ? Même si GQO ne le fait plus nativement, peut être qu'il est envisageable d'avoir une options avancée ?
PS : A moins que vous ayez une autre solution pour streamer l'écran depuis plusieurs casques utilisant QGO vers un PC ! Je suis à l'écoute de toute solution pour nous aider.

so Meta blocked 3rd party files after everyone paid for it?! Do they have plans on reversing this?!
QGO is working on v72 and even on v74. But v74 have some issues like installing apk files.
They didn't block that but they broke the native package installer for sure.
What was your issue ?
Where do i go to download the latest version as i have accidently deleted off my headset and the old file i had will not work! Any ideas?

The tool says that ADB or Wifi isn't working. I know the wifi works so it's the ADB. I followed the tutorial and instructions. It wouldn't let me turn the wifi debugging off and on for some reason. I couldn't get it to give me a pairing code. And now it says the Quest 3 developer mode is not on. I checked that and it is still fine since setting it up earlier this month. So I kind of made the problem worse somehow. Do you have any advice? Merci beaucoup.
Hello, if QGO say the developer mode is not enabled, you should check your mobile phone app to see if the toggle button is still ON.
In the panic, it's possible you deactivated the developer options and don't ask me why, it could have for effect to disable the developer mode.
QGO can't disable developer mode by itself.
Yep it's the Meta Horizon app.

Ok. I found the developer mode button and had to turn it back on. But the other ADB problem persists.
Hi, I have an important question about optimized profiles. My quest often is dropping frames in games, and these profiles don’t relieve it entirely, to be stutter and drop free. I have checked GPU and CPU levels/frequency with OVR and everything is ok, GPU can go up to 690. I also don’t use any silicon case on the headset itself, so thermal throttling shouldn’t be the case. Is it normal?
Hello, are the profiles you use your own profiles or the official ones ?
If you have stutters or lags on official ones, please report me that games I must check. After a games updates, the official profiles could have to be re-created to fit the new updates.
If you have frame drops in own personal profiles, this means you didn't do good profiles and must check them all with OVR Metrics Tool to monitor you Quest performances and ensure FPS are rock solid for all your games
Also some game have stutters we can't fix. In general, you can see some information about the game if you over your cursor hover the "i" icon in the game thumbnail.
I have stutters in official HD/HD+ profiles for Synth Riders, Beat Saber, Quake 2 Quest and Asgard’s Wrath II. With AW II it is written „profiles improve performance”, meaning not 100% good I guess, so doesn’t matter in this case
Asgard Wrath stutters are normal. The game is too heavy for the quest. With performance profile, it's less stuttering.
Can you screenshot me with OVR Metrics Tool overlay when it stutters on Beat Saber and what song you played ? The game is played by a huge amount of players and nobody never reported issues on Beat Saber. But I can see the Beat Saber Update v1.40.1 came 4 days ago.
Same thing for Synth Rider, I must see that with OVR Metrics Tool. In the meantime I pushed the GPU level. The synth rider profiles are from 2023, so perhaps not up to date. Tell me.
About Quake, can you give me the package name of the app ? There are many quest ports. And Quake profiles are also old. So I could appreciate a screenshot with OVR Metrics Tool

Thank you it would be a nice addition and easy enough to code (from my experience as a programmer)
Currently I do as you wrote but as you can imagine it's far from user friendly to do it for tens of apps to decide which one is worth deleting.
I will include that in the game menu, under the package name and version ;-)
if it's not difficult to code, people would need to have a look at it in the application list to be able to compare the size of the apps or quickly find a space hog (sorting by size would be even better)
Hi there :) I accidently updated to version 74 on the quest 3 and saw that you put there was a bug with it! Is there a way rollback the update? if not any idea when we will be able to use the quest optimizer again? :) P.S I know this is Meta's fault lol
Hi, you can use QGO with v74, but there could be some bugs, especially with the update function ;-)
On the internet you can google ways to sideload older firmware versions. Also you can exit the PCT channel (but if I remember it does a factory reset)

Hello, there isn't any official QGO profile for Eleven Table tennis
QGO should see your game even if it's renamed
And as QGO can't guess the name you put for your package name, it can't recognize it as Eleven Table Tennis

Yep just go to QGO settings and enable the "show hidden apps" option ;-)

Thank you for your work - the subfolder functionality alone is worth price of admission for me. So nice to get finally rid of the cluttered app display! And it even shows the sideloaded apps! 🫶🏻
Qq - when starting, I see a number of new profiles listed at the bottom and a button LÖSCHEN (delete). Am I right in assuming I only click that button if storage space is an issue AND I'm sure I will never use the apps those new/updated profiles have been created for?

What you see is the notification panel that just tell you when new optimization have been pushed. Nothing more. So you can clear it after you read it.
Ah perfect - so DELETE means "seen that, move on" and not as I understood it before: "I don't need these, delete these profiles to free up space."

Yes it's just an information. QGO only gets the profile related to your installed app ;-)
Is there a way to see the default settings for resolution, refresh rate, CPU level, GPU level, and FFR for a game before running it and using OVR?
Nope, you can only see that with OVR
Had problems with QGO and ADB not working so I uninstalled QGO per instructions and restarted the Quest. When it was done restarting I tried to find the Unknown Sources to reinstall QGO but it's gone. I disabled/enabled Developer mode multiple times, restarted the Quest multiple times but nothing is working. I reuploaded the APK from Sidequest multiple times as well. Yes, I know Unknown Sources is not in the same place as it used to be but it is not in the Applications dropdown either. It's just gone.....Currently running v.71 of the Quest software. I have heard this is because I have two accts on the same unit. If so, is there a work around? The odd part is that Unknown Sources shows when I log into the second acct but that is not the Primary/Admin acct so installing QGO on the second acct won't work for the primary acct.
Unknown sources appears if the developer mode is enabled. So first check that on your headset and now the unknown source sections is under a folder icon with a "?" symbol
Like I said, I have turned Developer Mode on and off multiple times. Unknown Sources shows under my wife's acct when I log into hers but not mine. Mine is the primary/admin acct and the acct I was logged into when I first did all of this. I have used different USB-C cords, restarted the Quest, toggled Developer Mode on/off multiple times, reinstalled the ADB USB drivers, and even installed the Meta Developer Hub. The only thing I have not done yet is delete my wife's acct from the Quest or reset to stock. Sidequest connects fine and is even sideloading QGO because when I go in my wife's acct and look under Unknown Sources, it shows the .apk file with the current date so I know it's installing the apk just fine, I just can't see Unknown Sources on my acct so I can't install QGO.
I don't know how to help you... On my Q3S, I have 2 accounts. First have the new icon, but the second have the unknown sources in the list... So weird too but the fact is I have access to unknown sources on both of my accounts... You should try to google that or to do a factory reset. There seems to be a Meta bug on your headset...
Anyway, if you find a solution, please tell me, I'm curious

You could use the existing Home profiles (HD or HD+ profiles)
